Additionally, if you apply through KUCCPS, you’re eligible for government funding in the form of loans and scholarships.

Usually, these government loans and scholarships are subdivided into four groups (depending on your level of financial need) as below:

Vulnerable:

  • Government scholarship: 80% of the above fee per year
  • Loans: 20% of the above fee per year

Extremely needy:

  • scholarship: 70% of the fee per year
  • Loans: 30% of the fee per year

Needy:

  • Scholarship: 50% of the fee per year
  • Loans: 30% of the fee per year

P.C. Kinyajui Technical Training Institute

This is one of the few cheapest public colleges that does not have a fixed fee structure.

Nonetheless, their programs are still considerably cheap.

For instance, their artisan courses range between Ksh. 48,500 and 63,200/year.

For the certificate programs, you can expect to pay anywhere from ksh.41,000 to 71,000 per year depending on the course you’ll be pursuing.

If you want to pursue a diploma program at P.C. Kinyajui TTI, you will pay Ksh. 50,371–68,621 per year depending on your course.

Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)

The Nairobi campus KMTC is the cheapest public college when it comes to offering quality medical courses.

Their course fees are relatively low compared to most other medical colleges within the region.

This is because KMTC is the only public medical college in Nairobi.

As a government-sponsored student, you will pay between Ksh. 78,000 to 80,700 while as a self-sponsored student, you will pay Ksh. 118,000 to 120,700.
